Micro Tar

This gun model Is made for a school assigment, First I made the high poly version, it had over 2 milion triangles. I then optimised the highpoly model until I had a low poly model of 10 k tris, I baked the model in Max. The normals of every part where baked separatly but the ambient oclusion is baked in one go. Then I enriched the normals in photoshop with Nvidea tool and tweaked the AO a little bit. From the start I wanted to keep the gun as clean as possibly and avoid the damaged grungy look so much guns have. This was the first gun I made. This first beauty render was done in Max with Mental Ray.
